Paintball Sports Promotions World Cup
Date: Thursday, October 9 – Sunday, October 12
Venue: Fantasy of Flight, Polk City
– Paintball enthusiasts from across the world will travel to Fantasy of Flight over the four-day event, along with a manufacturers’ tradeshow where paintball players can pick up all of the latest equipment and apparel in the paintball industry.

Classic Albums Live
Date: Friday, October 10
Venue: The Lakeland Center
– Max 98.3 and Classic Albums Live takes classic albums and recreates them live, on stage – note for note, cut for cut.
– The October 10 performance will be “The Beatles- The White Album”.

Downtown Lakeland Food Truck Rally
Date: Thursday, October 9
Venue: Munn Park, Lakeland
- Head out to Downtown Lakeland and enjoy a variety of Florida food trucks and their delicious cuisine on every second Thursday monthly.

Fine Swine at the Pit
Date: Friday, October 10
Venue: Mulberry
– Get your butts smoked and share your ribs at the American Legion Mulberry Memorial Post #72 October 10 and 11.
– This world class event is a state championship and Jack Daniels Qualifier.

Downtown Lakeland ZombieFest
Date: Saturday, October 11
Venue: Munn Park, Lakeland
– Downtown Lakeland welcomes you to our third annual ZombieFest: Unearthed 2014, presented by Monochrome Games featuring a host of activities that include scare zones, costume contests, music, and a spectacle of people dressed as zombies and zombie hunters.

Family Fun Day

Venue: Polk County History Center, Bartow
– The Polk County History Center in Bartow invites families to enjoy a day of arts and crafts on the second Saturday of each month.

OUT OF THE BOX Improv

Venue: Bean and Grape Café, Winter Haven
– OUT OF THE BOX, a fun and exciting improvisational comedy troupe based in Winter Haven with performances on the second and fourth Saturday of each month.

Run or Dye (The World’s Most Colorful 5K)
Date: Saturday, October 11
Venue: Lake Eva Park, Haines City
- As you run/walk/dance through this 5K course, you will get showered in safe, eco-friendly, plant-based powdered dye at every kilometer…turning you into a technicolor canvas of fun.

Lakeland Book Fair
Date: Saturday, October 11 – Sunday, October 12
Venue: The Lakeland Center
– The Lakeland Book Fair will feature publishers, book sellers, illustrators, self-published authors, comic book sellers and more.

IPSC World Shoot XVII Opening Ceremonies
Date: Sunday, October 12
Venue: Lake Mirror, Lakeland
- The celebration will begin with the Parade of Nations that is highlighted by all IPSC World Shoot competitors, match officials and regional directors who will carry the flags of the countries.
– Opening Ceremonies will feature speeches by local dignitaries, an aerial demonstration, a water ski show performed by the Cypress Gardens Water Ski Team, musical performances by the Harrison School of the Arts Jazz Band, and an on-the-water fireworks show.

Lakeland Roller Derby
Date: Sunday, October 12
Venue: SUN ‘n FUN Hangar E, Lakeland
– The Lakeland Derby Dames, a women’s flat-track roller derby league is now based at SUN ‘n FUN in Lakeland.

Quilts and Tea Festival Preview
Date: Monday, October 13 – Saturday, October 18
Venue: Polk Outpost 27, Davenport
– Polk Outpost 27 will host a preview of Davenport’s 12th Quilts and Tea Festival and Vintage Marketplace.

ISO Masterworks Series

– The Imperial Symphony Orchestra, a community orchestra, is comprised of 80 volunteer musicians who have made it their mission to entertain, educate and inspire audiences through enlightening performances of symphonic music.
